20 Most Recent 2007 Qlink Legend 250 Questions & Answers

If you are using an o-ring chain the 15t front sprocket will not work, you need to use a 520 x-link chain. Also get a 32t or 31t rear, 32t if you are riding in a hilly area, 31t for open road. JTF270-15 front and JTR279-31 on the rear.

Hi have you checked fuel filter or filter in the tank also make sure the fuel line has no kinks you say the diaphragm looks good make sure there are no holes or it's not sticking as this will cause fuel level to be low in float chamber and cause fuel starvation.Good luck.

5. The accelerator pump is inoperative.

Have your engine mountings retorqued and check the chain for correct tension. Next, check to make sure that your center bearing on the handle bars is not loose. Look for missing bolts that mount down the airbox to your frame. Finally, check the headstock bearing

Will it push start?. willl it turn over with jumper leads off another battery?
A starter is not likely to go bad just sitting for a few months.
Is there power getting to the starter( use a test light)
Check the oil level.
Pull the spark plug(s) out, put the plug back in the lead and make certain it is grounded to the head, and see if it turns over.(if the plug isnt grounded it can damage ignition coils)

all carbs are adjustable, float levels can be changed, jets if you can buy new can be drilled out using a hobbiest drill set(approx $14)you can also shim the needle...make sure your carb is clean and you don`t have any air leaks.

Qlink... | Answered on Nov 22, 2018

Hi, Micheal the vast majority of service, parts fiche, and owners manuals on the internet are "FREE" to download and all service manuals contain wiring diagrams in the back pages. The rest usually charge a modest fee of $15 and there is a handful of obscure, rare, obsolete, and very old models that are no longer or never were available and some were never printed in English. The Indian and Philippine markets are usually in E-book format only, for these rare occasions I shall look on eBay and find the cheapest one available. Most of the manuals will cover your exact make, model, and year otherwise one will be provided that comes as close as possible to your bike and will have most of the same info that an exact manual would have. If there is no $ sign after the manual link it is free to download.

Hi, Joe and the usual suspects are:
1. Severely discharged or a damaged battery must have 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test if necessary, you may have a preliminary reading of 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amperage the battery is faulty and must be replaced, AGM batteries fail in this scenario more so than lead acid batteries.
2. Faulty alternator/generator and or voltage regulator.
3. Loose or corroded battery terminals and or cables especially the "NEGATIVE" cable, look for loose, corroded, or broken connectors inside the cable harness at "BOTH" ends.
4. Faulty main circuit breaker or ignition switch, check for loose connections and continuity.
5. Faulty system and or ignition relay, check for continuity.
6. Faulty ignition coil, ignition/electronic module.
7. Faulty CKP, CPS, CMP, MAP, TPS, or BAS sensor, corroded, loose or broken wire connector pins/sockets.
8. Throttle cables and or idle speed improperly adjusted hot idle speed should be 950 RPM to 1000 RPM.
9. Faulty neutral, side stand or clutch lever safety switch.
10. Fuel tank empty
11. Fuel tank contaminated with ethanol sludge.
12. Water or dirt in the fuel system, or clogged filter.
13. Restricted, blocked or kinked fuel line.
14. Faulty fuel pump.
15. Faulty pressure regulator.
16. Faulty or clogged fuel injectors.
17. Lean angle switch is faulty or needs adjustment.

change back to normal oil some engines run better on thicker oil ,this is what they were designed to run on .

Qlink... | Answered on Apr 06, 2017

I wouldn't. You only need to use motorcycle oil for a wet clutch. No other additives are needed. Change your oil every 3k miles or once a season. Do not use regular car oil as most of them have additives (friction modifiers) that will make a wet clutch slip when you don't it too.
