Drain the fluid and measure it, the drain plugs are at the bottom of the forks leg, then unscrew the cap at top fork tube and install the same amount of fork oil as drained out.

This may be a vaccum leak. When extra air gets into the combustion chamber, it causes high idle. Check to make sure that all rubber hoses are tight and not cracked.

That is 1 heat range colder, more chance of gas fouling them but no engine damage will occur. Unless it is an emergency use the proper ones.

See if the govenor is stuck in the on position. This could be attached to your parking break. That would be one possiblity for this to happen.

Plug itself they can be cracked inside, Coil or Plug Wire lastly the Magento pick up. Easy, first You'll need a MultiMeter.cheap will work Free at Harbor Freight at times.
No Spart Check if Keyed make sure it's on ohm it to look for short or blown fuse.,

Next , Plug Wire Ohm it to make sure no breaks in line.,

Next Coil Arc to ground NOT a direct ground and turn over if Ummm, don't be the connection to ground you'll learn new swear words fast and change of underwear will be needed.

The magneto pickup, look for rust hardly every bad but could be rusted and not be letting the electrons jump.
