I have a project bike... a SUZUKI CAVALCADE1986 GV1400GDG
Use your amp meter to find out where the drain is and replace/repair that part alone. Don't just purchase stuff at random.
If you don't have the expertise to effct a repair, take it to an auto-electrician for advice.

Why does my 1996 suzuki GS just click and does not engage
A click is usually the starter solenoid. If not enough voltage from the battery, the starter can't turn over the engine. Is there no crank to manually start it? Do the headlights glow brightly? That could work as a test to see if the battery is up to start the machine.. The starter could be bad, there could be a loose wire from the battery to the starter, or to ground. Good luck

Can't read fuel guage
Try some of the Suzuki Intruder owners groups and forums. They often have bikes being sold for parts and can be cheaper that buying from dealers and parts stores.
There are some companies out there that can service these displays or replace the LCD section only. You would have to seriously research these companies before you have any work like this done.
So basically... A brand new unit from a dealer. An aftermarket unit from and auto parts store. A used part from a bike dismantler or an owner breaking a bike for parts. Finding an LCD Specialist to strip and rebuild the LCD display.
