On a 50cc tao tao is both head lights supposed to be on when the bright switch is in the on position?

In general, it depends on the specific model and wiring of the TaoTao scooter or moped. Some models may have both headlights turn on when the bright switch is in the on position, while others may have one headlight switch to a brighter setting while the other remains on a dim setting. It's best to refer to the owner's manual for your specific model of TaoTao scooter or moped to find out the exact details of its headlight system and operation.

I have a powermate tiller model # PCV43.2

If you're having difficulty with the bottom screw on your Powermate tiller's carburetor, here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Ensure you have the correct size and type of Allen wrench: Verify that you are using the correct size and type of Allen wrench (hex key) for the screw. Using an incorrect size can make it challenging to engage the screw properly.
  2. Clean the screw and threads: Sometimes, debris or dirt can accumulate in the screw or the threads of the isolator block, making it difficult for the screw to engage smoothly. Use a small brush or compressed air to clean the area around the screw and ensure it is free from any obstructions.
  3. Apply lubricant: If the screw still doesn't engage smoothly, you can try applying a small amount of lubricant, such as penetrating oil, to the threads. This can help reduce friction and make it easier to turn the screw. Be careful not to apply too much, as excessive lubricant can attract more dirt and debris.
  4. Check for any damage: Inspect the screw and the threads of the isolator block for any signs of damage. Look for stripped threads, worn-out screw heads, or any other visible issues. If you notice any damage, you may need to replace the screw or the isolator block.
  5. Seek professional assistance: If the above steps don't resolve the issue, it's advisable to consult a professional technician or a small engine repair specialist. They will have the necessary expertise and tools to properly diagnose and address the problem with the screw or the carburetor assembly.
It's important to be cautious when working with small screws, as excessive force or incorrect tools can cause damage. Take your time, be patient, and if you're unsure, it's best to seek professional assistance to avoid further complications.

Lexmoto zsx-r 125cc ignition not starting

If your Lexmoto ZSX-R 125cc is not starting and you're experiencing issues with the engine light and gear display, here are some troubleshooting steps you can take:
  1. Check the fuses: Inspect the fuse box of your motorcycle and verify if any fuses related to the ignition system or engine control are blown. Replace any blown fuses with new ones of the correct rating.
  2. Check the battery connections: Even if the lights are working, there could be a loose or corroded connection at the battery terminals. Ensure the battery terminals are clean, tight, and free from corrosion. Consider using a multimeter to measure the battery voltage and ensure it is within the recommended range.
  3. Examine the wiring: Inspect the wiring harness for any loose or damaged connections, particularly around the ignition system and engine control. Look for frayed wires, loose plugs, or disconnected connectors. Repair or replace any damaged wiring as necessary.
  4. Test the ignition switch: The clicking sound you hear may indicate that power is reaching the starter solenoid, but it doesn't necessarily guarantee that the ignition switch itself is functioning correctly. Try cleaning the ignition switch contacts or consider replacing the switch if necessary.
  5. Check the side stand switch and clutch switch: Some motorcycles have safety switches on the side stand or clutch lever that prevent the engine from starting if engaged. Ensure the side stand is up, and if there is a clutch switch, make sure it is properly engaged when attempting to start the bike.
  6. Inspect the spark plug: Although you mentioned that the spark plug was cleaned, it's worth double-checking its condition. Remove the spark plug and examine it for fouling or wear. If necessary, replace the spark plug with a new one of the correct specification.
  7. Consider the possibility of a sensor or ECU issue: If the engine light is on and the gear display is not functioning correctly, there may be a problem with a sensor or the engine control unit (ECU). It might be necessary to have the motorcycle diagnosed using specialized diagnostic tools or by a professional mechanic familiar with Lexmoto motorcycles.
If you've exhausted these troubleshooting steps and are still unable to resolve the issue, it's recommended to consult a qualified motorcycle mechanic or contact Lexmoto's customer support for further assistance. They will have more specific knowledge and resources to help diagnose and repair the problem.

How's it my RHCM start button has stopped working can I bypass that to start bike

Don't bypass it, replace it! If you bypass it the starter motor will run all the time damaging the starter motor and other parts inside the transmission. Switches are normally reasonably cheap to buy and some of the Non dealer parts are just as good.

1977 GS750 proper fuel mix screw adjustments

The 'fuel mix' screw is only for tickover as the main jet is closed at that point. The other screw is for tickover speed. If you are not experienced in setting up twin carbs, you will have fun. Screw both mixture screws in whilst counting the turns and part of turn. Remember the turns in case you get mixed up. Unscrew them both 2 1/4 turns. That is a good starting point. With a hose pipe, place one end near your ear and the other to listen at each carbourettor. You are listening for even vacuum sounds from both. With the tickover screw, that will be obvious but as I say, what you do to one must be done to the other or it will tickover rough.
