Hello,
I have Husaberg fs 650e
The bike needs a top end job. Oil is getting past the piston rings causing the bike to smoke. The best thing to do would be to have the cylinder bored then install a new piston and ring set. While the top end is apart, have the mechanic re-seat the valves. The air filter is filling with oil because of the compression getting past the rings. Maintain the proper oil level in the gear box to lessen the problem. You may want to find a new mechanic. This is basic information any competent mechanic would know. I am not being ugly, I just want to help you out.
Head gasket blown.
Is this an
Hello and welcome to FixYa!
Not really. It's easy if you have a background but even though you don't have one it's not that painful. All you need is patience that's all. If you have a manual then it will be helpful. Since it's just a head gasket, just don't forget to clean the head before putting in the gasket to prevent leakage.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!
Hi ive just had my 650 repaired at a huge cost and
Absolute number one priority is change the oil as often as you can afford especially for MX or Road trail four stokes. Every 4 - 8 hours ride time would not be excessive and if is a race bike then every or at least every second race meet should be full of brand new oil.
this will increase engine life and decrease engine wear an enormous amount!
Ps change the oil filter/s every 2nd or 3rd oil change
with the oil Your clutch rely on it - Your cams rely on it - Your transmission rely on it - your crank rely on it
2nd priority is clean air filter if your mainly road use then not so often but if your off road then same as oil. Change as often or clean as often as possible
The rest such as head gaskets, piston / rings, valves and clearances, spark plugs, clutch plates/springs - Really no way to tell all depends how hard you ride just address or investigate when power loss or hard starting occurs
But I guaranty all the above will last heaps longer on clean oil and air
After replacing the head gasket how do i get the
Hi mate I am Yamaha man myself but thought this may help I get this question often for YZ yamahaa if your cam is installed you will never get the chain over it on - YZ at least, you need to place chain over cam sprocket at same time as installing the cam before cam is locked in (and even that is very tight fit) especially if brand new cam chain is being fitted as well cheers mate not sure this helps but it sounded familiar good luck
WHEN THE ENGINE RUNS THERE
If the clutch is not to old then open it take out the plates clean them and soak in clean oil and then replace them back in
dump your complete engine oil and replace your oil filter whilst there if you know the clutch plates are pretty old then do all same especially the soak plates in oil stage but with new clutch kit problem should go away
Generally if clutch is noise but still working OK its because of dirty engine oil change your engine oil as often as you can afford your entire engine a clutch completely rely's on it being clean
Weak spark problem
Hi luke_j_mosde
Seems the problem could be your sparkplug. Clean it off. It may require a change also.
Check your battery also. It may need to be charged.
Hope this helps
Shes a ***** to start
Assuming the bike runs well and this is just a kicking technique problem.
push the kick starter slowly until you get to the hard spot(TDC), pull the decomp lever, and push the kicker a little to get past top dead centre, then release decomp and give it a decent kick, should never kick back
Spongy feeling brakes
yes i would bleed brakes , and check and make sure that no grease or oil got on brake pad's. let us know how it works out . Thank you fore using fix ya.
Turn Signals Won't Work
Using volt meter to verify polarity for each wire from your dads bike to yours, could help. Also try removing the bulb from each socket try them one side at a time (left bulbs then rite bulbs), not sure about them working when off but sounds like power coming from wrong source(battery),should be on the ignition circuit. compare to your fathers bike!
