Have week spark on my 1992 zx11
first off are your plugs gapped correctly? Also how long has it been since the valve lash has been set? Is this a battery powered ignition system or a CDI style? If it's battery then a good battery source is needed, also check every ground and every single switch between the hot side of battery to ignition coil, include your start button and also the engine kill switch(which should be open)
A 2014 tw 200 starts right up but won't take gas to ride until it warms up for at least 15 min.
I gather its a dual fuel bike? ( Petrol and gas) On cars that are dual fuel, the engine will always start on petrol and switch to gas after its warmed up. If the engine is warm, it will start on gas. I assume bikes are the same. However, LPG can freeze when it is injected through the fuel system. On cars, a preheating arrangement is installed, usually by having the gas pass through a coil or tank that is heated by the engine coolant. As bikes don't often have coolant, I would imagine that a sensor prevents the gas flow until the bike engine is warm enough to stop the gas from freezing when being injected..
Will gas that's left in a gas tank over the winter keep my motorcycle from starting
If its stale possibly. If its carbureted and the stale gas has sat all winter with no stablilizer- quite likely the carb passages maybe gummed up and blocked- seen this myself..Drain old gas and refill. if fuel injected there may be another issue it should at least fire if the fuel is getting to cylinders and theres a spark.. if a Carb.. the same.. so if carb and no fir or no smell of fuel from exhaust- carb passages clogged or petcock..
What does 50 to 1 ratio means and how much gas and oil I need foe a dirt bike
THIS IS VERY EASY TO FIGURE OUT..THIS IS A RATIO OF 2 STROKE OIL TO GASOLINE MIXTURE..FOR ALL TWO STROKE ENGINES ONLY..MOST TWO STROKE OIL CONTAINERS HAVE THE CONVERSION CHART ON THEM FOR THE PROPER MIXTURE..ALWAYS SPEND THE MONEY AND BUY A GOOD BRAND OIL ..ALWAYS PREMIX YOUR GAS IN A SEPARATE GAS CONTAINER SO YOU CAN MIX IT UP VERY WELL BEFORE USING IT IN YOUR EQUIPMENT..NEVER STORE YOUR GAS TOOLS WITH FUEL IN THE GAS TANK..ITS BEST TO RUN EMPTY BEFORE STORAGE..THIS WILL PREVENT THE FUEL FROM GUMMING UP YOUR CARB AND SUCH..SAVES MANY HEADACHES..PLUS SAFER..
