Why does my kids Rio shut off all going down the road or idling or not want to turn over after getting gas and filled up

There could be several reasons why a car shuts off while driving or idling after getting gas. One possible reason is a faulty fuel pump or filter, which can cause a drop in fuel pressure and lead to engine stalling. Another possible reason is a malfunctioning ignition system, which can cause misfires and engine shutdowns. Issues with the car's electrical system or sensors can also cause similar problems. Taking the car to a certified mechanic for a thorough diagnosis and repair is recommended. They can perform tests and inspections to identify the root cause of the issue and provide an appropriate solution.

I have a 2007 electric glide classic I turned the key on light's came on gas pump ingaged hit the starter and guess blew a fuse all fuses in fuses box are good what other fuses would be responsible

The main fuse is probably to blame. This can be in the primary junction box underneath the seat. Also, make sure all the fuses in the fairing, saddlebags, and Tour Pack are working. Also, check all of the wire harnesses and the connections to the batteries twice. The starter motor assembly and potentially the starter relay would be the next thing to investigate if all of those parts are in good working order and the main fuse is functioning properly.

Chevy 2002 blazer 4x4 manual not starting new starter and ignition switch

If your 2002 Chevy Blazer is not starting even after you have installed a new starter and ignition switch, there may be several other issues that could be causing this problem. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take to determine the cause of the issue:
  1. Check the battery: Make sure the battery is fully charged and in good condition. If the battery is weak or dead, the starter may not be receiving enough power to turn over the engine.
  2. Check the battery cables: Make sure the battery cables are clean and tight. Loose or corroded cables can prevent the starter from getting the power it needs to start the engine.
  3. Check the starter relay: The starter relay is a small electrical component that is responsible for sending power from the battery to the starter motor. If the relay is faulty, it can prevent the starter from getting the power it needs to start the engine.
  4. Check the clutch safety switch: If you have a manual transmission, there is a clutch safety switch that prevents the engine from starting unless the clutch pedal is fully depressed. If the switch is faulty, it can prevent the engine from starting even if the starter is working properly.
  5. Check the fuel system: If the engine cranks but does not start, it could be an issue with the fuel system. Check the fuel pump, fuel filter, and fuel injectors to make sure they are all functioning properly.
If none of these steps solve the issue, it may be necessary to take the vehicle to a qualified mechanic for further diagnosis and repair.

Have a 2000 plymouth neon, added transmission fluid and now the clutch doesn't engage or something.

It is possible that the issue with your 2000 Plymouth Neon can be attributed to air in the transmission system. When air gets into the transmission system, it can prevent the clutch from engaging. You may need to have a technician bleed out the air from the system in order to fix the issue. Additionally, you could also check for any loose coolant lines or transmission fluid leaks as these could also contribute to the problem.

Got a 2002 lincoln cont. When you push gas it clicks like a bike chain . I babied it for a month now it doesn't stay in gear when I slow down or stop

If it was only the noise I would look at the universal joints, but coming out of gear would indicate an internal transmission problem. Take it to a transmission shop soon before you get stranded on the road.

The metal fuel line is leaking the line between the carbs , is there an easy fix for it

Depends what it is on, but yes a strip down is a good start. The floats might be sticking and the pipe is the overflow.

I have a gas leak dripping out of the bottom of the bike, what would make this happen ?

No 'year make model' so let's make some wild guesses! Badly sealing float valve in bowl of the carburetor. Bad joint on one of the fuel lines. Split or cracked fuel line Leaking fuel tap. Small rust hole in the bottom seam of the gas tank.

So my GSXR 600 starts and idles just fine but bogs down when you give it gas when you twist the throttle it bogs down what would cause that

Hello. It seems you have a mixture/carburetor problem; may be running too rich. By you 'accelerating' the engine, that compounds the problem. Is your bike carbureted or fuel injected?

How do I set float on my 96 500 sportsman polaris. I cleaned card reassembled, and gas runs out of the bowl drain hole

If you didn't mess with the float level at all when you had the carb apart, chances are it didn't get changed, it usually takes some effort to bend the tab on the float. A couple of things to check when you pull the bowl off the bottom of the carb: If for some reason they are hollow floats, make sure that they don't have any fuel in them indicating a leaking float. The next thing I would check for is trash under the float needle, to check this you will have to pull the shaft out of the float pivot, remove the float assembly and then remove the needle, while you do that, look at the viton tip on the needle, if it has a circular groove around it, it will likely need to be replaced, usually about $30. If its just trash, clean it out and reassemble. The other thing that could happen, if you let the thing sit for a long time with old gas in the carb, the float can actually pick up enough weight from fuel residue making it heavy enough where it won't have enough "float" to close the needle valve and allow the fuel to keep pouring into the carb and out the overflow. This happened to me on a Ninja, to the tune of hydro-locking one of the cylinders.

I have a 2005 skidoo rev 600 sdi and it wont start it has spark and it is getting gas I don't know whats wrong

Air, fuel, compression and spark. check those, figure out what you don't have. But 9 times out of ten the carb needs cleaned. And that does not mean blowing some carb cleaner in there and saying "well I cleaned the carb and it still wont work" like half the guys on here. to clean a carb you must disassemble it. 25438825-e4kctgh3k44hcfvkqkts4kbg-5-0.jpg
