How do i removemainseat

There is a seat lock on the LHS side of the bike just below where the front and rear seats meet. Turn the key clockwise and remove the rear seat. Now turn the key anti clockwise and remove the front seat. If it doesn't release, just put a bit of pressure on the rear of the seat (or bang it with your fist) while turning the key.

Never. Replacing the timing chains involve splitting the crankcase, and would only be done when the entire motor gets a rebuild.

Your starter bendix possibly needs cleaning. Unfortunately these are sealed units and can only be dismantled and re-assembled with specialized equipment. They can be purchased loose. Have a look here: Starting This is the part you are looking for: 16548858-nzvcb0m2wtucy3tcgb4dd4ff-1-0.jpg

Where is the fuse box

The R1200GS motorcycles do not have fuse boxes. It is controlled by the CanBus system which has electronic fuses. When one is tripped it automatically resets after 15 minutes, but will trip again if the associated problem is not resolved. Error codes are stored within the ECU and will tell you exactly why the fuse tripped.

The most likely cause is the fuel pump controller. It is positioned under the cover just left of your instrument cluster, on top of the fuel tank. These units are not repairable and it will need to be replaced. this is what it looks like. bike-2007-r-1200gs-suddenly-died-highway-koczvfaysx4nvr4lp1gx5zyp-4-0.jpg
