Hi follow the plus lead from the battery it will connect to the starter and the alternator. The starter is at rear of the motor near the transmission be sure to disconnect the earth cable from the battery before you begin. Good luck.

larger exhaust will help it breath better , and polishing ports is allways good to increase flow and the same for exhaust ports ,look at timing and better ignition parts for hotter and cleaner spark.

switch under brake pedal could be stuck on

try making sure the heater air grills are closed as air movement ie windy night ,could set of some alarms , i'd also check for voltage drop as this will set alarm off , also check battery holds the charge as may disperse just enough to set alarm off but not so much to be a problem when starting , YET .
