My vw jetta vr6 1999

abs light is on because there is a fault recorded in the abs system. a scan tool will be needed to get the recorded fault from the on board computor. It has nothing to do with the brake pads. It is usually an electrical problem.

Replacing front wheel bearing on

I've done this job several times using a bench vise and an old bearing to press out the bad one. Not an easy job, easy to ruin the new bearing by not pressing the new one in straight. Most shops will be able to press the old and new for few dollars. Oh yeah, there is an internal Circlip that has to be removed first, a job in itself....

  • Hi, I can help.

  • For this fault it is common to unhook the battery cable for two minutes and then re-hook them up and see if the light disappears. Sometimes an alternate light shows up and goes away after a few days of driving depending on the miles you drive daily.

  • If the light won't go away you can go to your nearest major parts store and have them read the codes free of charge. At that time you have the codes cleared. If you are not having any symptoms of hard driving this will be fine. Wait to see if they come back. It could just have been a glitch.

  • The code will tell you for sure what the light means but this light usually means something is wrong with the EGR. Often times a good cleaning will remedy this but sometimes you have to replace it. The codes will have that answer for sure.

  • if you have any comments or questions please feel free to leave them here and I will respond to you.
  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

Regards, Tony

My 1999 jetta keeps overheating.

Does it make a difference if you increase RPM's when stopped at the traffic light? If so, you have a water flow issue. If not, most likely your radiator fan is not working properly.

Tengo un jetta vr6 modelo

Check for a hole in the brake system including calipers, lines, and all cylinders. Booster or master cylinder could be bad. Or, you're right. It could be a faulty ABS sensor. You will have to troubleshoot to be sure. Hope you get an A in your workshop.

Hi I am driving vauxhall

If your power steering is hard, its a sign that your steering pump could be going out. but there are other

more simpler things that can cause this such as a slipping fan belt, broken fan belt, belt tensioner could

be going bad. low on steering fluid. you could also have a pulley that is going bad. good luck!
