My 2007 jetta newer style,

When you press the eject button try using a very small flat head screwdriver. Stick it into the CD opening at the bottom and lift it up while the player is trying to eject it. Another thing you can do is grab the edge of it with a pair of very small neede nose pliers while presing the eject button. If you know how to remove the radio from the car, you could take the stereo out and open the top of the unit up and then push the CD right out of the player

This is a "Drive by wire" car on the throttle. There is no accelerator cable, it has an electrical sensor that tells the engine computer when you accelerate.

Sounds like the sensor is going bad. Take it to a shop and get it replaced.

Did you check all fuses after replacing everything? If you did not disconnect battery while replacement you may have blown fuse.
Good luck.

I cant get 2nd gear

The treansmission could be low on fluid, might need to change the filter, or the transmission itself. I would check fluid and filter first.

I found a complete repair manual for your vehicle. You can download it in ebook format here: http://www.myacrobatpdf.com/6673/vw-golf--jetta-service-and-repair-manual.html

MY CAR WONT SHIFT OUT

It could be several things.. It could be the modulator.. That is what tells it when to shift and is controlled by both electronic and vacuum..
It could be a bad vacuum line..
If you are not really technical and have experience - it makes allot of sense to bring it to a trani shop.. Allot of them will offer free estimates..

Good luck

2000 beetle bulb for heater control

yes you can. You will need a pair of pliers a thin rag one that is not to bulky. and a piece of vacuum line. like the vacuum line on your car. small. well first you need the replacement bulb get at dealership it is small. that will be the size of vacuum line you need. with the pliers carefully pull off your fan speed knob you will see the bulb back in the hole. take the vacuum line push onto the bulb twist line and pull it should pull the bulb out. then put new bulb lightly into vacuum line look at the slots where the bulb goes you will need to line up the bulb should be straight up and down. push bulb in you will feel slight click then reverse the way you turned the vacuum line to pull out just the line. and you should be good make sure the bulb lights up before you put the knob back on. good luck

You didn't hook up the starter correctly. There are usually two small wires that connect to the solenoid and you got them on backwards? Swap them and see what happens then?

Want to replace batt. on

Hi There,

Replacing the battery of a Jetta is different than most cars.

  1. Under the hood look for a plastic cover with a light bulb picture on it, located between the battery case and the front grill. It has 4 screws that needs to be unscrewed. You would notice 2 pieces, in some cases you may have to remove both.
  2. To separate the 2 pieces, twist it slightly and move one piece up and the other down.
  3. Unscrew the large bolt on the middle front of the battery casing.
  4. Have the metal piece that holds the battery removed.
  5. Remove the battery but keep in mind that at its back it is being held by a plastic lip piece. The new one needs to slide under it.

To put the new one in, do above in reverse.
