Question about 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
Try holding up on the handle and pulling down on the latch in the door with a flat tip screwdriver. if the latch doesn't release doing this you will nned to remove the door panel to replace the latch assembly.

If you are speaking of the outside of the lock where the key goes into it. Then you can start by spraying some "white lithium" grease or some "wd40" into the locking mechanism. After a few minutes, this should free up the lock so that you can unlock and lock the doors.
