I have also found that in 1991 Honda Accord EX with the F22A4 engine that while I'm driving my S light on the console comes on... after a little while of being aware of what was happening I realized it... On the gear shift, mines an automatic, the Sports shift mode is on the shifter. While driving in a relaxed state I would bump the engaging button for this and would cause the S to light up meaning it was in Sports shift mode. Try driving, or just sitting, and engage your Sports shift button, if the light is on when it's engaged, and off when not engaged it could be your bumping it with your leg like I was... Just thought this would be of help.

It means that there is a problem with the transmission, this is usually accompanied by a shifting issue and is usually caused by a bad transmission solenoid. Take to a shop to have transmission codes checked to see what the problem is.
Transaction? I never seen that. When do you see this come on? Does it go off or stays on all the time? I can only think of 2 things: Traction as in traction control unit goes active meaning it wont slide the rear end under power on rain or snow etc... Or I have seen an option for towing a trailer where there is a button usually at the end of the shifter lever. Both of them are ok to have a lite on, if you were to have a problem with transmission you would have the check engine light on and maybe the transmission switch light blinking. Check you owners manual for a reference of this light.
It needs transmission work. Just because you cant feel it, doesnt mean its not there, the trans computer compares shaft speeds and knows theres a problem. If you keep driving it, it will get worse and leave you waliking.
The operating system has spotted a problem with the transmission and is blinking the lite as a result. Usually when the light is blinking it means that the transmission isn't capable of, or being allowed to, shift into overdrive. I would have a transmission shop check this one out as soon as possible to see what is causing the light to blink as there may be a more serious problem happening within the system or with a transmission component.
if the check engine lught blinks it usually means you've got a lttle problem. steady could mean a bigger engine or transmission problem. My engine light came on, I had it checked it showed a huge vacuum leak. my gas cap needed replacing end of light.
A blinking OD light on a Ford Explorer means that there has been a fault detected in the transmission operation, a common one is excessive slippage detected between input and output turbine shaft speed sensors, this can be a slipping trans, you may not even fell it, but it is indeed slipping, but lets not get ahead here, go to the Ford dealer and have a system trouble code scan run of the on board, this will reveal the trouble code that the blinking light has set in the computer control for the transmission and give direction to what the cause is.
