You need to get a real code scanner and get the real trouble code, it sounds like a problem with your vtec soleniod, check your oil level for starters and let me know what the trouble code is

you say you changed the whole distrubutor assembly?

    Yep everything.

If you messed with the timing belt , your timing is probly off, otherwise you may have the distributor installed 180' out this code is a tdc sensor not reading or reading incorrectly, be sure you put the same design distributor in, and all your wires are hooks up, and put number one cylinder on tdc, (compression stroke) and be sure the the distributor rotor is pointing to number one on the cap

Dizzy only goes on one way. wont go in 180' out. Havent taken timing belt off only dizzy. Same part number for old and new dizzy

Replace the spark plugs and wires along with a distributor cap and rotor. Be careful to leave the old wires and plug wires connected to dist.cap, just remove dist. cap from the distributor and lay aside with plug wires on it then install rotor then new cap and proceed to replace each wire for cap and spark plug one at a time so you don't mix up the spark plug wire firing order. Cap laying to the side is used for reference purpose.

Unfortunately you probably need a new distributor. There are three pick-up coils mounted down inside the base of it. They go bad quite commonly. The unfortunate part is; the new distributor will come with a new cap, rotor, coil and module...which you have already bought. The distributors are not that expensive though, maybe you can sell the extra parts???

check the plug wires and change them also check the cap/rotor for cracks and the coil itself for cracks
