My 2004 Dodge Intrepid began overheating about two weeks ago and I changed the thermostat about a week ago and the problem persists. I have had several mechanics look at it and try and work on it but they don't see the problem. There is no fluid pressure in my hoses and I have already had my car "burped" for air locks. My cooling fans kick on, my water pump is working correctly, the mechanics told me my head gaskets were fine (no white smoke coming out, no condensation or antifreeze in the oil and no leaks!) I have also purchased a new radiator cap and bleeder valve but the fluids in my overflow are still bubbling. What could possibly be the problem?

You might try removing the thermostat and test the car running without the thermostat. Otherwise, If everything is working out, I will suggest to check any of the electronic sensors, fuses. Start with the simplest things first

Hope it helps.

does it have the 3400 engine? check the oil to see if it has coolant mixing with it, they are known for bad intake manifold and head gaskets.

The thermostat on my 2004 Dodge Intrepid was changed because it was overheating on me..and it is still doing the same thing. What could it be now?

If the thermostat was changed and you seem to still be overheating - the problem most likely lies within the radiator! Small holes in the radiator can become plugged - either from OLD OLD coolant or the sometimes unfriendly "barsleak" which is used sometimes after an intake gasket replacement and/or most commonly a leaky radiator! Radiator is the only other solution

My 2004 dodge intrepid is overheating how to git

Remove the top hose, unbolt the thermostat housing, remove old themostat and install new unit with new gasket. Replace top hose and fill with coolant. Be sure to re-check the coolant level after start up, beore you drive it anywhere, to eliminate any air pockets in the coolant.

2000 Dodge Intrepid Wont Start

first of all, check your code to see what the car computer shows. To do that , insert the key in the ignition and switch it on three time within 2 seconds and the third time live the key in the on position. All the instrument panel lights will lite and the oddometer will display the fault code that may br the cause for your car not starting. goood luck.
