There are multiple items controlling fuel pump and fuel system. The primary control is done thru the fuel pump relay, a fuse and the ECM. Any of the 3 could be the cause. The simplest one to check is fuse and/ or relay.

2001 kia sephia won't turn over, no noise when key turned. Car was tuned off to run into store. Came out to start nothing. Can't hear starter, fuel pump nothing makes any sound.

Make sure it's in park, or neutral if manual tranny. Make sure battery connections are tight and clean. Check starter relay and check ignition switch electrical portion to ensure it's getting current from the battery to the relay.

1999 Kia Sephia doesnt start every time??

It sounds like you may have a sticking electric fuel pump. Next time this happens have a spray can of starting fluid in the car and spray it into the intake air hose of the engine, if it starts you have a fuel pump problem or loss of power to the pump from a possible bad relay or control.

2000 kia sephia fuel pump/overheating/not turning over

sorry to tell you but you have a blown headgasket or cracked cylinder head. that is why the coolant blows out of the radiator and the engine won't start due to engine compression getting into the cooling system.

My 99 kia sephia wont start. even wont start with a jump. it sounds like its going to start but it wont . it has gas

Ok it sound like its your fuel pump but i would start with the fule pump fuse and filter first than if it still doing the same thing then change the pump.

Replaced fuel filter, now won't start

a cut off switch is almost never the problem just hummor me for a second and please check that the fuel filter is installed correctly not backwards then check the fuel pump fuse and relay if all good check for power at the pump and a good ground if all this is good then the pump need replacement

Wont keep running

I would say it sounds exactly like a passlock problem. There is a detailed write-up here: http://newrockies.ca . The guy is great, this was the only way I was able to save my Park Avenue.
