SOURCE: Stalls and dies

Sounds like it could be the throttle position sensor.

SOURCE: 2003 Ford Taurus, 90K, used car, engines shakes, ABS goes on

Are you getting any codes from the Check Engine Light? This sounds like it could have something to do with a sensor. Check your air filter and make sure it's clean. The tach on my 1999 doesn't really work, but it hasn't coincided with other driveability problems. The engine doesn't change in it's RPM's, the tachometer just stops working. Have your charging system checked. The shaking might be coming from bad fuel pump operation, clogged fuel filter, or dirty fuel injectors. Try putting an additive into your gastank to clean the injectors (a bottle of Seafoam is great for this). Try calling your local Autozone and see if they do free trouble code scanning. This might help lead you in a better direction.

SOURCE: issue with dash lights dimming while driving,

If the battery and alternator tested fine. I would have the charging system rechecked when engine is hot and at high rpm's. This way the checks are being done as if you were driving and driving for a long time. Alternators can work fine when cold but weaken when hot or stop working. This problem is not rare but only is seen occassionly. Unless it was checked at an electrical shop the average shop doesn't run these tests for they don't see the problem often enough to automaticly run them at all times. Good luck and let me know how you make out.

My cluster all lights come on and gages fluctuate while driving

so what works and what not.
so far we have cluster issues
does car drive, ok day and night.
and all accessories?
did engine stall driving?
did Head lights dim? on, driving?
my guess is the engine stalled or idled below 300rpm
and the ECU went to Key on self test mode, (they all do that)
watch the RPM guage? see that needle, ?
if it goes below 300 rpm that is engine stall.
or worse
This cars cluster is really just a digital display
so if the PCM cant talk to the cluster, the cluster will go nuts.
for freeze.
We use a scan tool to see whats up.
or use the cluster self test covered in the shop manual.
the cluster has 2 fuses that can be cracked/loss or corroded.
the cars battery can go weak.
if the charge/battery light glows, engine RPM good
then the alternator systems is failing
if the volt meter (if opted) in cluster drops below 14v, and engine is still running, the same, alternator system failure
or even a loose belt at the alternator.
if the battery voltage drops too low , all electrics go nuts.
and engine stalls.
what dies first with low battery , is luck of the draw....
so what was battery voltage
and engine RPM at the point of failure.??????????

Lost all power to vehicle driving home. One battery cable is very corroded. Could it be the battery or is it the alternator?

Start by cleaning, or replacing the corroded part. Charge the battery, if necessary. If the car starts, then take it to AutoZone or O'Reillys and have them test the alternator, usually for free.

It sounds like the alternator isn't working. If the battery voltage gets below 10.8volts it starts to shut systems down, like engine computer, fuel injectors, electrical loads(lights) etc. Get your alternator tested or replaced. Also make sure you battrey connections are clean and tight. If they are loose the alternator can't replenish the battery power due to excessive resistence in the cables.

Start of day. Engine starts and runs fine. Drive 5 minutes to school. 1 hour later, try to start car. Cranks and cranks. Will not turn over. (Lights: key-in-ignition-position: all lights turn off but check...

There are usually three things that cause this problem. Either 1. your car is intermittenly having the power supply to the ignition interrupted, i.e., loose battery cable or ground, or ignition module, etc 2. your alternator is failing intermittenly, or 3. Your fuel pump is going out. The most common is the fuel pump, especially with your symptoms. The way you test, is, when it won't start, shoot a little fuel into the throttle body, and see if it hits and dies, or hits and keeps going, etc. These things are notoriously intermittent, and of course, you can only troubleshoot something when it's currently not working. As for the alternator, you'll usually have some other warning sign, such as a battery light, or failure of instruments, etc. As for the ignition module, it's more of a remote chance that I included as an option. Hope this helps you out.

1999 Honda Odessey Van Dies/stalls in traffic, restarts in a few

Honda is notorius for bad MAIN RELAYS the solder in them crack and can not be seen with the nacked eye. This is due to simple expansion & contraction the solder heats up & cools down. Try that.
