Hi,
When you tried to recharge it, did the can empty out into the system?
Do you hear and or see the compressor working? If the compressor is working properly there will be a distinct CLICK heard when it engages from off to ON.

AC compressor noise

it will not eliminate the noise. you'll need to replace the bearings.besides from the knocking noise is the air coming out from the vents cold? when you recharge the freon is it totally empty? if thats the case you probably have a leak in the system . check all the lines and connections for leaks using liquid soap add a little bit of water to make it bubbly.start the ac and use a sponge.normally when there is a leak the oil will leak together with the gas so ypu'll need to add some refrigerant oil as well pag oil is best..but i'll need more details so i can help you out

Chevy traverse 2010 ac is blowing hot air

try the ac fixes(freon recharge) found at your local autoparts store if that works for a little while you have a leak in the ac system if it makes no change it is most likely the ac compressor or the ac pulley is not engaging

No AC, then recharged, now compressor makes on/off clicking noise while running with AC on

This still sounds like low pressure. If you re-charged a system that was low, and didn't pull a vacuum and evacuate the system first, then you still have air in the system, which is causing the compressor to cycle on and off.

1996 Ford Thunderbird LX - AC/Heating A few months back I had my AC recharged (At the time my heating still worked) and it worked fine for awhile, but about a month after that I would turn the defrost on...

hi ,look under your dash near the blower and find a 4 or 5 wire plug going in near the blower, unplug it and remove the screws holding it in place ,pull it out ,it will be about half a cigarette packet in size when youve got it out in your hand ,this is most likely your problem part ,its a heater resistor ,it controls your fan speeds,it should be a white chalky resistor or an alloy heat sink type ,they come in 2 ways as i've stated, phone a ford specialist junkyard or auto wrecker or a new ford dealer and give them the part number it has on it and your thunderbird specs or ID numbers and you should be able to locate a replacement without too much bother .

I'm afraid you have the deluxe system,my friend. It has 2 electronic circuit boards that may be going bad. Very expensive unless you can find used or aftermarket.
I hope it's just the blower motor, but I had the other thing happen and I had to wire around it,losing my AUTO temp and blower control. don-ohio

AC does not work in 1995 honda accord

can you hear the compressor kicking on when you turn it on? If yes, the system may just need a recharge. Also they can iject dye into the system at the same time of charging to see if it has a leak.
