It will be in the trunk you may have to pull pack the liner to see it. it will be to the rear of the wheel wells.
it will be a black piece with a red button. press the button down to reset
there should be a dark green with yellow with and a pink with black wire at the inertia switch. the dark green is power from the relay and the pink is power to the pump. there will be another connector on the passenger side of the fuel tank. the wire color to the pump will change at this connector.

what are the wire colors for the power to the fuel pump. ie there are 4 wires that come out of the fuel pump. what wire does what?
i miss understood you. if i were to jump the fuel pump all i would need to do is hook 12volts to the pink wire coming out of the inertia switch (reset)?
The colors change at the final connector for the fuel pump. I don't what those colors are. I can tell you the colors on the vehicle side of the fuel pump connector.
The pink with black is power to the pump
The black is ground
The yellow with white is power to the level sensor
The pink with orange is the level sensor ground

ok so i have 7.29v on the green wire at the inertia switch with key on. i jumped the pink wire with 12v and fuel pump came on with 40psi is that what it needs? but the car still didnt start. is it a 12v pump or 6v?
also. i have changed the ecm and the same thing occurs. 7.29v. what are the odds of 2 ecm's having the exact same problem?
The ECM does not supply voltage to the fuel pump. Its supplies ground the the fuel pump relay which in turn supplies power to the fuel pump. The ECM looks for a fuel pump voltage so if there is no voltage or low voltage received at the PCM than the vehicle may not start.
The fuel pump is twelve volts. If you have 7 volts than you have extra resistance somewhere in the fuel pump supply circuit, whether it be corrosion or dirty contacts in the relay itself. Check voltage at the fuel pump fuse and pull the fuel pump relay and check for voltage at those pins as well. Two of them should have twelve volts with the key on one for sure should have 12 volts all the time. If there is not 12 volts on one of those and there is twelve volts at the fuse that there is an issue between the fuse and the relay. if power there is fine than you have an issue in between the relay and the fuel pump. you will have to start tearing apart the harness to figure it out.
There should be other relays that you know work that you can swap with the fuel pump relay to see if that works.
Since the ECM does not supply voltage directly to the pump I'm not sure why you thought that was causing the issue?
ok so i was wrong. when i changed the ecm and checked voltage at the inertia switch i had no volts. but with the stock ecm i have 7.29v when key is turned. im only getting 10psi fuel pressure. now when i jump the fuel pump relay plug under the hood the pump comes on and i get full 40-45psi. while that being jumped the car still wont start. also when i changed the ecm the check engine light went off but then when i put the stock one back in it came back on.
my question now is that shouldnt the car start with the relay jumped and getting the recommended fuel pressure? im starting to think its not fuel pump related. with the fuel rail charged with 40-45psi the car wont start and im only getting 40-45psi when i jump the relay. ive checked everything no codes come up when i scan the computer. im thinking maybe a rev sensor or something. its not telling the computer the car is on therefore its not telling the fuel pump to turn on? i dont know im pretty stumped with this one.i know the fuel pump works. i know it has good pressure. but like i said even if the rail was pressurized the car should start?
there is no resistance on the fuel system circuit.
the computer is also looking for a 12 volt reference from the fuel pump relay. If you jumped the pump but did not supply the signal to the computer there may be an issue with that.
Regardless there should be more than 7 volts at the pump. Solving that issue will likely resolve the other issues. Its entirely possible that the computer, other sensors, or other critical engine components are also only receiving the low voltage. You vehicle will start to shut down at 10 volts and will not run on 7 volts!
well ive been checking other engine sensors and all seem to be getting the 12v required to run. still not having any luck. pcm not showing me any codes. i did however check the volts on the engine coolant temperature sensor and was getting 12 volts to it but i thought it was only suppose to get 5v. could this be an issue? i havent found anything significant for this problem. and let me correct myself, earlier i had said i changed out 2 ecms. but i changed out the pcms. both still wont start the car.
If you read my previous replies I told you to check voltages at the fuel pump fuse and relay. I can't help you any further if you can't provide the information I request.
Did you check for power at the fuel injectors?
i have checked the volts at the relay and fuses its getting 12v. i have not checked the injector volts
Did you check it with the fuel pump plugged in or disconnected. If you tested voltage without the pump plugged and there is a corrosion issue it will read 12 volts all day long. You need to have the circuit under load (with the fuel pump plugged in) to make sure that there is 12 volts.
Just to make sure you have checked for spark and it is good. correct?
I CHECKED IT AT THE FUEL SHUT OFF SWITCH. AND YES THERE IS SPARK AND ITS GOOD. I ALSO CHECKED VOLTS ON SOME OTHER ENGINE MANAGEMENT SENSORS AND VOLTS BEFORE IT GETS TOTHE PCM
