I have a 1998 Old Aurora. The car was parked in the driveway for over two months. The parking lights started to flash while the engine was not running. When I unlocked the car, there was a clicking noise coming from under the dash. Help!!!!!!

I would say that the battery is low from sitting. Some alarm systems have a low voltage indicator that sets off the alarm. The flashing lights and clicking (alarm module) under the dash are indicative of just such a problem. Have the battery charged and consider disconnecting it or you can purchase a solar charger that plugs into the cigarette lighter to keep the battery charged (usually under $30 @ Lowes). However if you remove the battery is may you to lose radio codes etc... I believe the solar charger is the best option at this point. Have someone give it a boost with jumper cables or a charger to stop the flashing and clicking in the interim. Thanks for using Fixya and please post a comment and rate my assistance.

1992 Buick Park Ave. won't start after pressing brake pedal.

sometimes the other switch is to cut out the cruise control when the brake is applied. I would more suspect something in the fuel injection controls such as a mass air flow sensor or throttle "switch." your car is probably too old to have an auxiliary air bypass valve but if it has one look at it as well. good luck

1998 Aurora. The headlights and parking lights flash on and off when the car if off and the keys are out. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like maybe an alarm. My '92 LeBaron has a strange alarm. You have to lock & unlock the drivers door with the key to reset it. Sounds like a long shot but worth a try . check your owners manual to see if there may be another option to reset it if you have an alarm.

The remote engine start worked last month. Now it does not.

it could be just the battery in your key fob,, it takes more "juice" to use it for the remote start

1996 Oldsmobile Aurora Electrical problem.

OK it sounds like you have an aftermarket alarm inside this vehicle and no remotes or siren (It was likely in the valet mode and you may have never known there was one ... as the dealerships tend to do so that they won't have to warrantee them) I would say that is why the lights are flashing and it won't start ... If I'm correct .... remove it ...

Drained the old gas from the gas tank and refilled it with new, also replaced the gas filter and charged up the battery.

Tail lights, parking lights and dash lights not working

If signal lights are working, probably a failing headlight switch. Even though fuses seem OK, you can try replacing the appropriate fuse.
