If you have water on thee carpet your drain for the A/C evaporator is clogged or damaged. The drain tube is on the lower right side of the firewall. However, if the liquid is coolant rather than pure water you have a heater core leaking.

Your heater core has developed a leak - the wetness on the passenger side carpet is engine coolant
from a heater core leak, or a leak in one of the two hoses connected to the back of the heater core.
Your strategy: disassemble dash down to heater core, determine whether you'll need a new heater
core or new hose (or new hose clamp), then replace the offending part.

Passanger floorboard is wet

Is it water or is it radiator fluid. Radiator fluid will have a sweet smell. If it is water it is probably because the windshield isn't sealed properly and is leaking. If it is radiator fluid then you have a cracked heater core. You can see the result of this by turning on the front defrost and instead of clearing the windsheild it will fog it up. Try pulling the carpet back on the passenger side and put a light dusting of flour on the floor. This should help you locate where the leak is coming from.

Water leak after rain, rear floorboards soaked? HELP!

a couple things to look at if it has a sunroof the sun roof would have drain hoses that run down in each corner next you need to look at the cowl this is the section in front of the windshield that has a drain on it as well if you find nothing there the next step would be to remove the seats and carpet and sit in the car while running water over it either way you should remove the carpet and make sure it is dry all the way threw or mold will start to grow and you will never get ride of it not good for your heath other key spots to look at is if the windshield was ever replaced it could be a poor seal

Leak onto floorboard

Here is what all dealers do to find water leaks, we spray a fine mist of water on the car near where the water might be comming in with a spray nozzle, someone gets inside the car and look for the leak, there is no other way, and I have been doing this 30 years.
