I want to recharge my AC refrigerant but I don't know which valve to use. It has 2.1 by the radiator and 1 by the passenger side firewall.

your hose will only fit the suction side, it is the smaller valve (the hose on the suction (low) side is wider than the high pressure side too).

I have a 1998 mercedez c280 with a dead battery. I am unable to get into the trunk with the switch or my key

Mercedes Benz is the most service oriented company in the business. Whether you are the original owner or a secondary owner give the local Mercedes Dealer a call and they will dispatch a truck with a technician immediately. More than likely there will be no charge.
I know the same thing happened to me with a dead battery. Don Rasmussen is absolutely unbelievable locally. I couldn't believe the no charge. The Tech stated " That's the service you paid for".
Best regards,

Is there a way to add freon without removing the passager side tire?

first, raise car with jack behind front tire. remove the 3 screws that hold the black plastic fenderwell cover. when the screws are out, pull down on front part of plastic fenderwell. this will expose the ac accumulator. the recharge fitting is on very top of accumulator. remove valve cap and hook up recharge kit, follow directions that came with kit. when done replace valve cover, inner fenderwell, and your done.
