These are usually located on the firewall on the passenger side under a cover that looks like the letter T.remove the cover and look for a tan with a black stripe wire, this is the wire that needs to be disconnected with the car running you should hear a difference in the idle.set timing and reconnect wire then check to make sure check engine light is off.if not start motor disconnect wire, turn off motor and reconnect wire start motor and check the light it should be off.

My 1997 chevy suburban's windshield wipers don't work all the tim

It sounds as though the grounding ******** your wiper motor is not making a good ground therefore the wipers are not coming to the exact parking position. By pulling on them you pass that position and they begin to operate correctly. Thank you, Dana

Replaced the water pump on 1997 chevy cavalier and now it runs like **** think it needs to be retimed

Yup, sounds like your on the right track to me. Don't run it this way for long, it could cause valve damage. Go to the local parts store and get the book and reset the timming.

Will a 4l60e tranny from 1994

i do believe they are different transmissions. i know my '95 chevy pickup 5.7 is a one year only transmission for correct fit. best thing to do is call local junkyard. they have great interchange guides and could tell you if it will work and what things may need to be changed
