SOURCE: 1987 Nissan Sentra diagram for fuel line routing

There are many online wiring diagram solutions, but the cheapest way to find your diagram is to purchase a haynes or chilton manual from the local auto parts store. Both have excellent wiring, fuel lines, brakelines, etc diagrams. I prefer the Haynes manual myself.

Best do a fuel pressure test. Should have chg. fuel filter from the get go. The only other filter is on the end of the fuel pump in tank. Bad gas and dirty gas will plug up fuel filter, hense burn pump up.

New filter new fuel pump won't stay running

Well your engine has a carb, so it could be dirt in the carb, or a vac leak, or several other possible causes.
Does the choke close when the engine is first started ? Have you checked the fuel line to see if the pump is providing gas ?

1987 jeep comanche will stay runnning only when spraying carburetor cleaner in carburetor or when you pump throttle rapidly

Hello
It sounds like a glogged fuel filter or throttle body problem. Disconnect gas line at carb get a small jar or can to catch gas, hold gas line in jar and have someone crank engine, If you have good gas flow to carb then Its a throtle body problem, (Throtle body and carb are same thing just in case you did not know)could be electrical or mechanical problem at throttle body, Its usually electrical, fuel flow meter. Hope this helps

1987 Dodge Omni 2.2 Engine Carborated. Starts great, runs 3 to 5 minutes and then starts to smoke, load up on gas and shut off. Wait an hour and same thing all over again. All tuned up. Any Ideas?

Has the carb been puled off for a rebuild? If not sounds as though the floats may be out of adjustment or malfunctioning. Also a good kit will help it run better. You'll need the numbers on the carburetor to get the kit. There is either a tag or embossed area on where you can find these numbers. Dodge/Chrysler used Carter branded carbs in the past yours may still be one.

My 1987 dodge raider is having problems starting. Sometimes it seems like the car does not have enough power from the battery. It has the 2.6 four cylinder and is also fitted with a carb. It has been...

Check your fuses. Make sure the battery is good and the battery terminals are clean and the wires have no tears. Make sure your engine is getting gas. Spray gas or engine starter in the carb. If it starts for a second, it is a fuel problem. Either fuel pump, fuel pump fuse or relay, or clogged fuel filter. If this all checks out, you need to start looking at spark plugs, wires, distributor, cap, rotor. Check your timing belt and make sure it is not broke. It could be a cam sensor or crank sensor as well.

Check on your carb if u have an electrical cable connected to a small solenoid.. it can have one or two wrires. Connect a wire from the battery +. You shd get a reaction on the single contact and if it has 2 points use 2 wires one for ground and the other supply.. NB polarity doesn't matter much here as long as they are separated from the main loom... Shd u get the idle then check your fuses as u might have blown one unknowingly whilst removing.. Good luck
