I have a 2002 Hyundai XG 350 L with a steady check engine light on. I took it to the local dealership and they were not able to see a code. Has anyone seen this happened before and if so what can it be? Dealer is recommending not to fix due to cost of determining what the problem is and repairing. Can anyone provide me guidance on how I should proceed?
Thanks
Sonia
Hi the check light has a short could be expensive to fix or not trouble nowadays electronic componts are tempermental so have you got your code for your radio as the soultion to the problem could be as simple as disconnecting your battery for 10 minutes and reconnect this will reset your ecu unit and any abnormall glitchs in the computer trouble is you will lose your codes for the radio this is something that is rare but i have come across before running the car without the check light working only tells you if the emmissions system is working or not the car will run fine as it as a back up system so if the cars not giving you any problems it will be ok but this should work if not then check the wiring from the light and the ecu yates210456
