It is my understanding that the fuel lft pump has been replaced( updated) and is now gone back to the old way and is re installed in the tank.

I have had to put 3 lift pumps in since new, little did I know but Cummins tells me that the lift pump delivers minimal pressure and shortens the life of your injector pump.

So if that is true perhaps it is best to eliminate the lift pump and go with the new in tank pump. I plan on doing it the next time I have a problem.

Did you check the fuel filter? It can be cleaned out manually. I just hold it to my mouth and blow but make sure the gunk-side is away from you.

Getting diesel in oil

Sounds like you might have a bad fuel injector that is dumping fuel in a cylinder that is running down the cylinder into the oil. Could be a fuel pressure regulator that is not holding it's pressure causing fuel to do the same thing.

Is it running good? Smoke a lot?

I have a 2000 dodge ram 3500 l6 turbo diesel, just had the fuel pump and injectors replaced, but now no fuel is passing along, and can not hear the pump turn on. replaced the fuel system relay and still...

pump is your only choice at this point...HOWEVER, it does have sufficient fuel in the tank and switched to the supply tank (in case you have dual tanks) right?
