Most likely cause is either a leak in the seam on the radiator or a leak in a cooling line at the bottom of the radiator. Best course of action is to wipe down any wet surfaces and get under the truck to check the cooling lines first. If (while truck is running) you see no seepage from the cooling lines, you'll need to remove the shield to check on the radiator itself.

Well could be the radiator, or a hose, you will have to remove the fan shroud to inspect. taht tipe of problems have to be fixed the soon the better or damage to the engine could happen.

Probably the water pump. You should see coolant coming from the vent hole on the pump--usually on the bottom.

There's a pinhole leak on a valve or a metal connector and I'm losing coolant. I don't know what the part is called. It's located in the middle behind the fan. It looks like a "t"...

This is a coolant tube that goes to the top of the water pump, it is called the upper water pump bypass tube, you will also need to purchase the rubber o-ring

When replacing, make sure you are doing a coolant flush, as old cooland will cause this type of corrosion and failure

good luck

there is a drain plug on the bottom of the radiator, it is at one end or the other-turn it counter clockwise to drain antifreeze, sometimes you have to remove a plastic airdam/shield to see/get to it. An easy way is just cut the hose off-you are going to put a new one on anyway, and you won't lose more than a gallon of antifreeze although if you are fast (you pretty much have to be draining a radiator) you can get a pan underneath and catch a lot of it-I still would just replace it with fresh 50/50 antifreeze, it will take less than 2 gallons to refil. Remember to do this when the engine is cold.

There is a smell like antifreeze when I used the fan, especialy for the wind shield

what is happening, is your starting to get a leak in your heater cord or the hoses that attach to it. it's allowing a small amount of coolant to leak out. check the passenger side of the car in the front just under the dash to see if it is damp. your heater core is behind the plastic wall under the dash. the vent right there is taking that smell of the coolant through the vents.

Cooling system

1)yes steam will come out of the resevoir, especially with a bad rad'cap.
2)thermostats are cheap.
does your cooling fan come on?,it may be a bad sensor or relay (for fan)
3)no heat in car!?,the water pump may be bad.or the heater core is plugged,or if you have:a bad coolant valve for cab heat.(but this wont cause motor-over heating issues!)
4)you have a plugged radiator!

--sounds like a bad waterpump to me.
even if it doesnt leak, the impellers still come loose from the shaft!!
