If u are losing brake fluid that means there IS A BRAKE FLUID LEAK. It is a sealed system not supposed to lose any fluid. The cooling system sounds like it may have a clog in it somewhere or is your anti freeze mixing into the oil? Head gasket.
If a mechanic has told you the pump is faulty, then I am not sure what you are hoping anyone here can do to help you. I suggest you listen to your mechanic and replace the pump.
