Did you check the fuse for the O2 heater circuit? Also what year, make, model and engine size do you have?

  • Anonymous Jan 08, 2012

I also have the same problem but my vehicle is a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am and I JUST replaced the o2 sensor today... And it stopped revving and then dieing but after work I started my car to warm it up a bit before I started driving home but it started doing the same thing but it didn't die as quickly... I also haven't checked that yet... It's too dark out to really see anything at the moment so I will do that in the morning, thanks for the insight... We'll see if it helps... -sigh- I'm starting to regret buying the **** thing... >.>

What is code D0131 on a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer LS?

Don't know where you came up with this one D0131 , No such code . Now if you mean a P0131 it's for a O2 sensor
DTC P0131 HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Sensor 1
C0455
Front Steering Position Sensor Circuit
EBCM

The electronic brake control module (EBCM) receives multiple direct inputs from the steering wheel position sensor. These circuits include, two digital square wave input signals A and B. Phase A or B should toggle high and low every 2 degrees of steering wheel rotation. . The EBCM also receives one analog steering wheel position input on the steering wheel position sensor signal 1 circuit, and is compared to the digital circuits for fault detection. The analog portion of the steering wheel position sensor is supplied a 5-volt reference and low side return circuits from the EBCM. Ignition voltage and ground circuits are supplied directly to the digital portion of the steering wheel position sensor.

2000 buick century problems

DTC P0131 HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Sensor 1
The PCM supplies a bias voltage of about 450 mV between the HO2S signal and low circuits. When measured with a 10 megaohm DMM, this may display as low as 350 mV. The oxygen sensor varies the voltage within a range of about 1000 mV when the exhaust is rich, down through about 100 mV when exhaust is lean. The PCM constantly monitors the HO2S signal during closed loop operation and compensates for a rich or lean condition by decreasing or increasing injector pulse width as necessary. If the HO2S 1 voltage remains excessively low for an extended period of time, DTC P0131 will be set.
