Yes. The switch is usually located around the passengers kickpanel. There should be an access hole to press the button on the switch. Sometimes the part is just above the carpet and sometimes you have to remove the kickpanel. If you are unable to find this switch on the passengers side, then look on the drivers side kickpanel.

Under the hood is a Powerbox. The shutoff switch (inertia switch) gets its power from the Fuel pump Relay after the Ignition is turned on. If resetting the shutoff switch does not help, your fuel pump Relay may be bad. On some Ford models, the horn Relay is the same Relay used for the fuel pump. This would allow you to swap and test before buying a new Relay.

Buddy with the no start hold key.

Test your FICM and IPC.

Also, check to see your oil pressure, if it builds up.

Your injectors need oil pressure to fire, FICM tells them to fire, ICP acts as the relay from FICM to Injectors.

Could also be a camshaft position sensor.

If you crack the fuel filter housing with a 1/2 drive extension. If your fuel pump is working, cycle the key and the pressure should leak from the housing if your pump is good.

Also should be able to hear it after the cycle of injectors

How do you turn the fuel pump shut off button back on a 99 Ford windstar

  • The inertia fuel shutoff switch is located behind the driver side scuff panel. An access hole is in the scuff panel to access and reset the fuel shutoff switch.
NOTE: In the reset position, the button can be pressed an additional 1.59 mm (0.0625 inch) against a spring. This is a normal condition.
To reset the inertia fuel shutoff switch , press button on top of inertia fuel shutoff switch .

I have explorer 2006 fuel pump doesn't work although it is new i want adiagram for its electric sircut

Did you test or just replace it ? There is a fuel pump driver module that controls the pump , an the PCM tells how much fuel to pump by a sensor on the fuel rail ! the fuel rail pressure sensor ! Your vehicle has Ford Electronic Returnless Fuel System ! watch this guy on testing Ford Electronic Returnless Fuel System Diagnosis Part 1 Ford Electronic Returnless Fuel System Diagnosis Part 2

did you check Inertia Fuel Shutoff (IFS) Switch The IFS switch is used in conjunction with the electric fuel pump. The purpose of the IFS switch is to shutoff the fuel pump if a collision occurs. It consists of a steel ball held in place by a magnet. When a sharp impact occurs, the ball breaks loose from the magnet, rolls up a conical ramp and strikes a target plate which opens the electrical contacts of the switch and shuts off the electric fuel pump. Once the switch is open, it must be manually reset before restarting the vehicle. Refer to the Owner's Literature for the location of the IFS.
Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM) Note: For the LS, the FPDM functions are incorporated in the rear electronic module (REM). The fuel pump operation is the same as for applications using the stand-alone FPDM. However, the REM communicates diagnostic information through the communication link instead of using a fuel pump monitor (FPM) circuit.
Note: The Ford GT uses 2 FPDMs to control fuel for the dual-injection fuel delivery system. The PCM outputs only one fuel pump duty cycle which is used by both pumps. The PCM individually monitors the FPDMs through their fuel pump monitor circuits. Both FPDMs are mounted on the same bracket. The FPDM mounted in the upper position on the bracket is referred to as FPDM and the FPDM mounted in the lower position, is referred to as FPDM2.
The FPDM receives a duty cycle signal from the PCM and controls the fuel pump operation in relation to this duty cycle. This results in variable speed fuel pump operation. The FPDM sends diagnostic information to the PCM on the fuel pump monitor circuit. For additional information on Fuel Pump Control and the Fuel Pump Monitor, refer to Fuel Systems in this section. You need to do some research on line. depending on the location these FPDM corrode an short out ! This vehicle in the video is inside but on some trucks they are underneath the vehicle ! This guy here scanner danner is a automotive teacher an knows he's stuff !

2006 f350 wont start if warm

It is Vapor Locking at the Pump. The O rings are Swelling too much and will not allow the fuel to leave the Pump or enter the Injectors.
