Problem with my 2000 pontiac sunfire

You must be specific on what type of converter. There are torque, catalytic, even bars.....lol.. Just need more info..

first off does it have a remote starter hooked to it, if so disable it, my daughters car did the same thing till I took the remote out sometime the remote won't let you start manually in it is still engaged. next make sure all your connections are tight (battery ans starter, I bought a starter at a local parts store it was only acouple of months old for her car it started to do the same thing so I took it back and it failed their test ended up getting a new one. also check the rely located on the left fender wall it is marked starter it may be bad.

Firs check the belt tension, you should have about 1/4 of an inch free play in the belt, that is up and down movement of the belt, also check the fluid level.
Is there any noises from the powersteering pump, like a bubbling noise or a whirring noise?

hard to diagnose without hearing my self but from your description i would say it one of your half-shaft
best thing to do for sure is to take it to a repair shop most will take for test drive and diagnose the problem for free

It will be in a short while. Solenoid is most probably faulty and needs to be replaced.

You have an electrical problem. Start with corrosion in the socket.Cleaning the contacts sometimes works. new socket works more.

96 sunfire - press horn and you hear the relay neer the glove box but there is no horn noise. I can't even locate the horn. Any suggestions?

well i will say its an electrical problem, but the problem may be tracing it, are you getting to put all the electrics
