Your fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator are not supplying constant fuel pressure. Too much or too little is causing it to kill. You can pull the vacuum line from the regulaor and check for gas. If there is none, you need a pump, it is weak.

SOURCE: I have a 1990 Lexus LS 400 and...

I would inspect your wires at the starter. If you live up north then corrosion is bad, clean all wires going to starter. then clean wires to back of alternator. I seriously doubt that alternator is the problem, but if you remove it you can have it tested for free at most parts stores.

Testimonial: "Thank you! You was right, it was not the alternator, it was a 125 AMP that was blown."

My 1993 ls 400 lexus, dont get power when i press the gas. when in park, the motor runs really rough and i smell gas, And before this happen, whenever i would take gas top of to put gas in,a lot of pressure...

The two are unrelated. First the no power is the catalytic converter, it is clogged up. Second is the purge solenoid is not working. The solenoid could be bad or the wiring. Check engine light on?

Smell gas inside

possible fuel leak. lay under the vehicle and trace the fuel lines from the gas tank to the engine. if you find any wet spot on them that you know is gas replace them. especially on mpi vehicles, they need pressure to operate

I just purcgased a 1990 Lexus ls 400 and the coolant light came on it has a full tank of coolant is this a bad sessor or what?

It does sound like the sensor is either dirty inside the tank or bad. You will have to remove the overflow tank and the sensor is torward the bottom of the tank and easily replaced.

1990 Lexus Ls 400. What tempture is my car suppose to run at?

your car should not be near that, it should stay at the middle line or a little under. You need to keep an eye on your radiator fluid level. I just changed the radiator and thermostat in my wifes car. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR CAR IF ITS RUNNING THAT HOT, IT WILL BLOW YOUR MOTOR!!!
