Ac was running when driving to the store, stopped to gas car then on the way out turned on ac no air coming out and the ac light does not turn on. i checked the fuses all are working but no power running towards the ac system. is there any other reason for this?

Most likely the AC compressor clutch isn't engaged. This happens when the refrigerant pressure switch doesn't detect pressure in the coolant lines. The cause is usually a refrigerant leak.

This way the AC compressor is protected from running dry and possible damage.

Let your local repairshop check AC line pressure - if no pressure, look for the leak first then refill with fresh refrigerant.
