A lot more info needed. Is the starter cranking? Is the battery charged? Are all the control lights coming ON when you turn the key? If it's a manual transmission - have you tried push-starting it?A lot more info needed. Is the starter cranking? Is the battery charged? Are all the control lights coming ON when you turn the key? without doing further testing it is difficult to say, but there is a part called the main relay, located under the dash on the drivers side. it controls the power to the fuel pump, and is a common failure on older hondas. good luck!
The key switch went bad in my 88 Honda DX.I found out the problem quite by accident.Try playing with the switch very carefully and see if it will start for you! Yes the engine will spin buy it will not feed the coil so it will start.Good Luck!
crank angle sensors and ignition modules, ignition coils that are faulty behave like this when faulty try pouring water over crank sensor when it stops and see if it starts after being cooled down if it restarts then you found which is faulty.
you need 3 things for engine to run
air
heat(spark)
fuel
which one is missing when vehicle wont start?
Its called a Main Fuel Pump Relay.. It controls Fuel Pump, Starter, Ignition.. and Like 12 things.. Get one And I guarantee that'll fix it.. It looks like a cell phone on the upper inside of the dash.. about 52 Bucks from the dealer.. Try it
you need to put a test light on the fuel pump and make sure you are loosing power when this happens, it could be the main relay those are common im not sure if this year have a differant style as the newer cars but either way it could be failing you need to check the fuel pump relay when this happen also for power and ground if that is not the problem your ignition switch may be faulty try wiggleing it to recreate the promblem please rate -jeff
