You can't do that. Without power steering you won't be able to turn the steering wheel. In the old days, it used to be power 'assisted' steering, but now the steering pump does all the work. You would fail at turning the first corner. ? ?Get a friend to drive you to the junk yard. ? ?..
It's the receiver inside the radio. It can be fixed, but isn't worth it. You can get a junk yard radio and have it programmed to your car cheaper. After market is even cheaper than that.
Hmm sounds like could be that the car was hot jumped from a dead battery or was jumping another car and it may fried the stereo. Should be able get a factory replacement out a junk yard less than $50
You have to have a hand held computer to do this. Factory to factory. Some garages have them, I have one( I do this for free). dealers do this also. You have a 1 in 1000 chance of getting a junk yard radio and it works in your car.
I think I sent on this before. Do your search on the Internet for emissions diagrams for 2002 Pontiac Grand Am. Nothing will beat going to a junk yard and looking at a similar car though. Brakes and PVC are the most important and the engine should run with everything else blocked off. The diagrams just are not that good showing you actual locations. Be sure your BF takes a camera with him, because nothing beats the real thing.
you can take the bolts out of the widow regulator at the window and pull the window up by hand and tape it so it stays up or since you have the door pannell off to do this you can replace the window motor its not that hard and you can get one at a local junk yard go to car-part.com for local junk yards that will have this
there are only couple options. pull radio and send to shop for repair, purchase used radio from good junk yard. or call dealer and see if there is a warranty on it. even though its 6 yrs old they may help. what they do at the dealer is an exchange
