could be you have a few bad glow plugs or a relay for them or a bad glow plug controler. the glow plugs are basicly a direct short that creates heat that warms the air in the cylinder to aid initial start.they can be checked wiyh an ohm meter. remove the wire and place one lead on the wire connecter of the plug the other to a good ground.you should have good connectivity. if not replace the plug

I own a 2006 kia sportage, 2ltr xs, recently a rumble/rattle noise occurs when revs reduce to idling,my local dealership imforms me that this is simply an idle gear type chatter, because of my lack of confidence with this dealer I gained for a second opinion from my local mechanic, he seems to think that it is a clutch problem, my question to your good selves is, is this a known defect form other owners,
