2004 Subaru Impreza ... I heard a squealing noise for a few days. My heater was was blowing hot air. When I turned the car off and started it back up I have nothing. No hot air. No cold air. No...

most fans in vehicles have phospher bronze bushes as bearings for the motor. These become dry and make a noise as described with thr motor eventually stopping. removal of the unit to replace or lubricate the bushes are the only answers. when you have done this check the fuse as it will probably have blown to protect the fan motor

I have a '02 Pontiac Sunfire with a 2.2 engine...for about a month, I've noticed my air conditioning is barely blowing no matter what setting I have it on. Now, it blows cold or hot air, but...

you say that you feel air but it isnt forceful. the answer is your ac/heater blower motor resistor. it is located under the pass side glove box and the blower motor is a big black cylinder and right behind it on the left is the resistor. take that out. got to autozone and pick one up for 25$.

When i get in my jimmy to go to work its blowing hot air( with the heater on of course) and then there is a creaking noise coming from the blower motor area, then the heater will start blowing cold air...

Because the Main Gear in the Blend Motor has cracked or teeth have chipped and is now not keeping the heat/cold door to the Hot position. 3 fixes: Buy a new Blend motor, takes about 5mins to replace. Buy a new Blend Motor Gear, will take about 30mins to fix. Repair current gear with Epoxy, takes about 30mins and 12hrs for the glue to set up strong enough to use it.

A/c suddenly stops blowing

Maybe your blower fan is faulty.
The whine you heard could be dry/seized fan motor bearings or foreign matter (such as leaves/twigs) in the fan.
If fan motor is faulty it will need to be removed for repair; but first check as below:-

1) Check fuse is ok.
2) Check motor runs if power applied directly to it. - If motor OK, check:-
3) speed resistor module (usually in fan ducting, in air flow),
4) fan switch operation.
