How To Clean Your IACV Idle Air Control Valve Honda Tech

Left side of coolant upper hose, the upper one is the Lock-up Control Solenoid Valve(s) assembly and the lower one is the Shift Control Solenoid Value assembly.

Locate the air box on the top center of the engine towards the back. The PCV valve is located on the rear, underside of the air box. Although on some Accord models, a small air box bracket may be present, which will block view and access to the PCV valve plugged into the intake manifold. If by chance the bracket is there, then remove the retaining nuts, holding it to the air box side with the ratchet and a socket. Reach onto the intake manifold with a pair of needle nose pliers, and gently pull the PCV hose and valve out of the grommet of the intake manifold. Hope this helps!!!

Clean your fast idle thermo valve (fitv) if that dont Work try cleaning idle Air control valve (iacv) you can go to google images to see where they are located on the intake manifold if you dont know And also if you dont know you can search google on how to clean these parts. Expansion valve is located passenger dash area , inside the evaporator housing. This is not a repair that can be easily done by a home "do it yourselfer".It requires evacuating the the air condition system of freon is the biggest obsticle doing at home. Rec. taking to a certified a/c repair shop for this repair.

try checking if the turn off valve needs adjusting stick your head under the hood and get someone to turn the heat setting on and off you can see the valve moving
