I have a '06 F-350 6.0l that is displaying d900 and 9352. The batteries are 1 year old as well as the alternator. I had let the truck sit for about 2 weeks and found the batteries drained, I recharged them, tried starting the truck and it sounded like the starter wasnt turning nearly as fast as it did. The truck wont start because of this, can you tell me what these codes are and where i might look to fixing the problem. Thanks

Did you use you're own code reader on this one because both codes are not obd2 codes.

Did you clean the cables when you changed the battery?

I'd trace the wires connecting your alternator and battery and make sure they are "healthy" and securely fastened. Then, I'd check the wires connecting your battery and starter. Again, make sure the wires are securely fastened and appear clean.

The starter and solenoid are one unit for this vehicle.

Hope this helps and good luck!

SOURCE: 1997 Ford expedition intermittent start problem

the expeditions are know for having injectors stick open and will flood the cylinder causing hydolock, when it does this again remove the spark plugs and have someone roll the engine over, if fuel comes out of one of the cylinders then that cylinders injector is at fault. the motor will turn over after it sits because all the fuel will eventually run past the piston rings.

SOURCE: 87 f250 drained brand new battery

I would first have the alternator checked by an auto electrician to ensure it is working correctly and is providing the correct volume of current. It may be faulty and when driving you will be drawing battery power instead of power from the alternator to run the electrics. This will drain the battery.

Alternators do not last forever and if you are still running the original unit it is likely to be on it's last legs and you will need a replacement unit.

Car would not start. Was able to jump it. Battery is less than 1 year old. Could it be the alternator?

It is possible you have an alternator problem. In most cases, if the battery is dead and you jump it and the vehicle will stay running, the alternator is usually ok.If the battery is going dead sitting overnight, you most likely have a parasitic draw on the electrical system drawing power from the battery when the key is off.

My spouse had to get out 1996 ford explorer boosted while i was at work,so that evening i tested the battery it had a charge of 12.4 and is about 5 years old so i bought a new battery ,i put the new...

A new battery should have approx 12.62 fully charged
It could be slightly more
If you ever see 13 volts, on an old battery, it is gone

You need a min of 12.5, to do any testing of your vehicle, or you charge it
It should hold 12.5 or more for 3 or 4 weeks, then charge, if you let the truck sit
unused.

My 2000 Chevy Blazer battery light is on. This

Could be anything from corrosion on cables, loose cables, lose or faulty wiring of wires behind alternator
defective voltage regulator. Visually inspect all the items noted. Then use a volt meter and measure the charging voltage of the alternator. It must be between 13,5 to 14.5 volts with and without accessories on at idle and 2000rpm. Anything below 13.5 weak battery or defective alternator ,lose wiring , corrosion. Anything above the 14.5 volts is a defective regulator.

95 Mighty Max has been sitting for one year

Unfortunately if all you did was dilute the stale fuel you will have to remove the entire fuel system and clean/replace.Stale (old)fuel becomes acidic and works like an acid.If you remove the fuel system yourself avoid getting it on your skin as it burns(personal experience)At least its not an ignition fault as the engine wants to run with an independant supply of fuel(start fluid)Sorry cant supply cheap alternative but there you are Good luck and let me know how you go with it.

Battery/alternator light off and on

Hi there!

It will be the alternator if your battery is under 2 years old.

Batteries lose their capacity after a few years due to a process known as sulphation. White crystaline deposits form, preventing electron flow.

This can actually be reduced and eliminated thesedays by installing a desulphator, or using one in conjunction with a charger. I've recovered 3 batteries so far since I made one, two of which were scrap due to sulphation.

The battery companies don't want you to know about these - that's why batteries only have a 3 year guarantee on them.

If the alternator is faulty, it can be serviced for 1/3 of the price of new.

Hope this provides a solution for you. If so, please take a moment to rate as Fixya! Thanks.
