Well first of all, check the fuse and relay for the coolant fans. if ok! to check the fans itself to see if they are ok. disconnect the fans from its wire connector, then run a wire from positive on battery to positive on fan connection. then negative from battery to negative on the fan connection. if the fans are ok, they will turn on. try by changing the temp sensor on thermostat housing, that sensor signals the fans to turn on and off. and make sure coolant level is ok. check the coolant level first.

Temp gauge creeps up

The computer is supposed to ground the fan relay when the engine temp reaches 220 degrees. If the coolant level is low, or the sensor is faulty, the computer will not know the engine needs the fan.
A mechanic would check the sensor with a scanner or meter.
Its also possible the gauge on the dash is not accurate.

Car is running hot I think it's my water pump .

The most likely causes of a hot running engine are the following:

1. low antifreeze level in the radiator and cooling system.
2. fan not turning on at operating temperature.
3. restrictions in the cooling system such as sediment build up.

Water pumps usually leak when they are bad, and can cause an overheat because of low coolant level.
Check whether the water pump is leaking after topping off the coolant level and running at operating temperature, and then shutting off the car's engine.
