Question about 2003 Ford Escape

1 Answer

Today while driving my radio turned off (no lights or anything), then almost all of my warning lights came on, when I pushed the gas pedal it just sputtered, then when I pushed it again, it went back to normal and the lights went off and the radio back on. After about 1/2 mi the same thing happened again and continued to happen about every 1/2 to 1 mile.

Suggest that you visit your local auto zone or advance auto to have them check your altenator and battery.the test is free of charge.sounds like you have a bad regulator in the back of your altenator or maybe your battery's going bad. thank you for choosing!

2001 e320 cdi estate changed battery turned on and abs and bas warning up on computer and cars revving round to 5000rpm and sticks there no real response from throttle ?

You may just need to reset your throttle sensor. There is no hard connection between the gas pedal and the engine its electronic. To reset :

All auxiliary systems must be off (radio, lights.aircon, etc) no electrical drains or CAN signals can be triggered during the process.

Turn the Key to the "on" position (the position right before you start your engine)

Press and hold your gas pedal down for 5-10 seconds

Turn Key to "off" position (dont remove the key) and then release the gas pedal. than wait 2 minutes, for the system to reset. Again without touching anything or having anything on.

Thats should do it. When you replace the battery you usually have to do the radio code, yaw steering sensor, throttle and sometimes transmission. On my last battery just had to do the radio but was expecting to do all.

Blinking oil light on 2003 Mazda Protege. Changed oil and oil filter as well as oil sensor. Light still blinks when the car is idled up.

You need to reset your change oil warning light. To do this, turn the ignition key to on but do not turn over the engine. Then rapidly push down the gas pedal three times. This will reset the system and turn off the blinking light. Then when you drive another 3000 miles, that light will once again tell you it is time to have your oil changed. J.

2001 Volvo S60 2.4T starting problem

This car won't start unless the gear is in the P position. Some times the sensor that tells the computer that the gear is in the P position doesn't make a good contact and the car won't start. Move the gear backwards and forwards until it makes a good contact and the car will start again.

Oil warning light is still on after having the oil change, how do i reset the oil warning light ? /

The oil warning light indicates no oil pressure, changing the oil would not affect the light. You should not drive the car if this light is on, because if it is operating correctly, you will ruin your engine. The car should be checked immediately, and not driven until the cause of the light being on is determined.
good luck, and let me know the outcome. countrycurt0
