Ford Focus ZX3 2005 SE, Air Direction Switch does not change where the air comes out. I removed cover, opened the switch, it appears that the relay wires were out of place, however I put them back where they belong, the switch now turns properly, yet does not change where the air comes from.

two options just pull them straight up or they make a special tool that you can buy to do this. if you are going to replace plugs you should go ahead and do the wires at the same time.

SOURCE: where is the fuel filter located on my 2005 focus

If you are thinking in a replacement, remember the position the fuel filter into the bracket. Ensure the fuel flow direction is properly aligned:

  1. Install and tighten the fuel pump bracket bolt.
  2. Lubricate the fuel tube fittings with clean engine oil. Align the fuel tube fittings and press together until a click is heard and then pull on the fittings to make sure they are fully engaged.
  3. Start the engine and check for leaks.

How to install part sw5928 cruise control switch to a 1998 ford ranger

1 Open the hood and loosen the clamp bolt on the negative battery cable with an adjustable wrench turned in a counterclockwise direction. Pull the cable straight up and off of the terminal and push it aside. Wait 15 minutes, before continuing this procedure, to allow the air bag circuitry to deactivate.
2 Pry the two plastic screw covers from the rear of the steering wheel spokes in the passenger compartment with a flat blade screwdriver. Remove the two screws revealed after removing the covers with an 8 mm socket attached to a ¼-inch drive ratchet wrench turned in a counterclockwise direction.
3 Lift the horn pad straight up from the top of the steering wheel. Carefully pull the air bag wiring harness connector from the bottom of the horn pad. Set the horn pad aside.
4 Remove the two screws holding each cruise control switch (there are two switches, one on each side of the steering wheel) with a Torx screwdriver turned in a counterclockwise direction. Lift up on the switch and pull the wiring connector apart with your thumb and forefinger. Repeat this action for both switches. Remove the switches from the steering wheel.
5 Install the new switches (make sure the "On/Off" switch is on the right-hand side) onto the steering wheel using the original mounting holes. Tighten the holding screws with a Torx screwdriver turned in a clockwise direction.
6 Push the air bag wiring connector back into the bottom of the horn pad until it is fully seated. Place the horn pad into position on the steering wheel. Tighten the holding screws from the back of the steering wheel with an 8 mm socket and ratchet. Push the two screw covers into the back of the steering wheel until they snap into place.
7 Place the negative battery cable back onto the terminal and tighten the clamp nut in a clockwise direction with an adjustable wrench. Close the hood.

How to replace ignition coil on ford focus wagon se

p, li { white-space: pre-wrap; }
Things You'll Need:

Adjustable wrench
Philips screwdriver
Paper clip
Ignition switch
Follow this simple steps

Open the hood and disconnect the cable from the negative terminal on the battery by loosening it with an adjustable wrench in a counterclockwise direction. Lift the cable off of the terminal and push it aside. Remove the plastic trim covers on the steering column from inside the passenger compartment by turning out the holding screws on the underside of the column with a Philips screwdriver in a counterclockwise direction. Set the trim covers and screws aside. Insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to the ON position.
Straighten out a paper clip and insert one end of it into the hole on the side of the ignition cylinder facing the driver. Pull the ignition cylinder out towards the left hand side of the car once the paper clip releases the pin that holds the cylinder in place. Remove the key from the old cylinder and place it into the new ignition switch. Push the switch assembly into the cavity that the old switch was removed from until it locks into place. Turn the key to the OFF position and remove it if desired.

Replace the plastic trim covers and tighten the holding screws in a clockwise direction with a Philips screwdriver.
Place the battery cable back onto the negative battery terminal and tighten it with an adjustable wrench in a clockwise direction. Close the hood.

Ford 2002 focus blower motor only works on switch

You may have 2 separate problems, check the bower motor resistor first, if it's bad replace it and THEN you should have the fan blowing on the lower settings.

If the ac turns on after you fix this then problem solved, if not it may be unrelated have a pro look at the ac.

AC problem

We are going through the same problem, our ac stopped working about 3 yrs ago, we have had it checked out 3 times by different mechanics and they all scratch their head with no idea of the problem. We have no blower but you can feel a little heat and air coming out. We have been reading the boards and it appears this is a pretty common problem in these cars, along with a few other things I won't go into, we have heard the blower motor thermal resistor, we just replaced it, $20 at ford, did not fix the problem. Next we will try to replace the ac heater blower switch which involves removing the radio. This part is $66 at Ford but there also seems to be a blower motor switch that maybe different and cheaper, still checking out this. Let us know if you find an answer.
