Question about 2006 Ford Freestar

Not starting with Key, but does start with remote atarter

My 06 Freestar (4.2 engine) will not start when rotating the key to the start position. However, all dash lights, power windows and radio works. It will start when using the remote starter (I was told it is a factory remote starter). Any suggestions???

Check the (ground when running) wire on the bypass modual it is probibly shorted to ground, therefore giving your car 2 transponder codes when you try to start with the key vs 1 when you use the remote start

06 pontiac grand prix wont start no clicking when you turn the key over even jump starting the battery, has dash lights & radio & parking lights. battery tested good. put a used starter & altinator on

Used parts such as starters and altinators don't last. It might **** but it sounds like you need to buy a new starter, altinator, and battery. Or just start with buying one at a time.

2005 Ford Freestar after starting van or even w/o starting and key turned to 'on' position gets 5 audible beeps (five times total) with no light illuminated on the dash.

Most Fords will give you an audible warning if there is an issue that would normally light on the dash AND the bulb is burnt out. This could be an emissions (check engine) light or air bag light. Even without the light on the dash, the computer will store a code that can be used to find out which light is on.

I have a '06 Chevrolet Uplander. I changed the battery and now nothing works but the dome light, brake lights and radio. The dash computer keeps saying service engine soon, service ABS system and service...

You can reset the computer by turning the key to the on position. Don't start the engine. Press the gas pedal to the floor and release it all the way. Press all the way to the floor and release. Press all the way to the floor and release. After the third time it will reset the computer.
PLEASE RATE! Check the 4 thumbs up.
Thanks! Have a GREAT DAY!

Van will not start. Can hear fuel pump but nothing else.

First thing check the fuses! Turn the key to the on 'run' position and check both sides of every fuse with a test light, or pull them out one by one, but test light is easier! If all is fine check for power on the starter main terminal (power will be constant when in any key position), then check for power on other terminal when in start position! If both powers are present then you will need a new starter!

Reset prosedures for volvos

Ok when you move the key to start the car. you need the following definitions.

pos 0 equals car off
pos 1 equals acessory position
pos 2 equals run position (NOT START)
pos 3 equals start position

check your drivers information module, and see that your triip display is in trip 1 (T1)

then put your car into position 1. push and HOLD the trip reset meter. WHILE HOLDING the reset button, rotate the key to position 2. Hold the reset button until you see the triangle in the dash flash yellow. Once this starts flashing remove your finger from the reset button. Shut the car off, verify light is out. repeat once if necessary.

Same issue no radio, windows, locks but dash board electric works

Try unhooking the battery, turn key on, leave door open, then connect battery, start engine immediately. The battery saver module thinks it's saving your power!!

04' Ford FreeStar - The Radio Stay On When Van Is Off

Nothing wrong with it. When you remove the key, it stays on for about 20 minutes. It gives you time to finish listening to your radio and roll up the window. Once the driver door is open, everything shuts off or if 20 minutes has passed.
