I own a 2007 maxima sl & seem to be having a problem with the passenger side head light. It comes on then goes off. I have taken it to two nissan service departments with conflicting responses. One states that it is the head light while the other states that it is the ballast. If it is the headlight is this something that i can do as a self-service project. As well if it is the ballast can i fix it. And one other question... where is the ballast located?

SOURCE: my 1996 nissan maxima bose system resets its self

you need to pull the radio out and verify that you have 12 volts all the time at the Pink/Blue wire in the radio connector plug, this is the keep alive memory, without this constant 12 volts the radio will reset every time the key is turned off. I assume you have checked the fuses. If the wire is ok and has 12 volts present then the radio is defective and will need to be sent out for repair..

SOURCE: headlight adjustment

The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly, behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator support.

You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam (separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal adjustment screws as well

Park your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same bulb, only do it for the lows)

For Low Beams: If the headlights read VOR, then aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall. If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.

For High Beams (if separate from low beams): Aim the headlight directly at the line you marked on the wall.

How do i replace the passenger side head lamp for a 2007 Maxima

Under the hood, find the back of the headlamp assembly. Unplug the wiring from the bulb. It should twist out or have a retainer ring that unscrews. Once you have this off, the bulb will slide out. Replace by reversing the steps.

Need to replace tail light bulb 2007 maxima

You can get access to the light bulbs through the trunk. Go by the bad light and pull the carpet back. You will see the bolts/wingnuts there. Take them out and the light assembly should come out, and you can change the bulb from there.

2007 Nissan Maxima 3.5 SL The Service Engine Light Came on i have 60,000 miles on the car would u be able to give me ideas of what it might be?

the problem might be anywhere. Your best link of action is to run a diagnostic scan on the car. that will tell u exactly where theproblem lies and wot to do. Your car being a 2007 model would be OBD II compliant. you can have it scanned in any auto shop having obd II scanner

How do you change out the brake light bulb on a 2007 Maxima

Open the trunk, on the inner part of the actual trunk door, locate the side of where you want to replace the brake light bulb, and probably have to unscrew the mount with a screwdriver and then the bulb will be easily removed.

How do change the tail light on a 2007 nissan maxima sedan

I think it is the same as a '04 maxima. Open the trunk, from the inside remove the side trunk liner (by removing the plastic tabs the liner can be pulled back). Once the liner is pulled back you will need to remove two nuts which secure the tail light in place. Once the two nuts are removed you can start pulling the whole tail light assembly out. There are two other tabs that secure the tail light in place which may give you some resistance but the light should come out without too much force once the two nuts are removed.
Once the tail light is out you can change whatever bulbs you need to.
