Air conditioning is not engaging when button is pushed to turn on.

That sounds like a problem that your air conditioning is not engaging when the button is pushed. I have no idea what that is or how to fix it, but my opinion would be to call a professional to repair it. That way mistakes are much less likely to happen. http://reidsacandheat.com/services/ac-re...

I have a 03 honda civicand the air conditioner wont work? it doesnt need recharged and the light comes on when i push the button but i get no cold air? any ideas?

I have the same problem right now, and from what I can figure, it looks like an intermittent thermal protector switch on top of the AC compressor. My 2003 Civic air conditioning works fine for 20 minutes or so and then stops working. If this switch is faulty, the compressor clutch won't engage and you won`t get cold air. I will get it replaced soon, but it seems like the access is not easy.

How do I use the 4 wheel drive on my GMC Yukon 2004. What dash button turns the 4 wheel drive on?

Hi, depending on the vehicle, there can be different controls. Standard control, 4hi, use in slippery conditions, never on dry pavement. Just push the button, and it will engage. 4low is for extreme conditons and the transmission must be in neuteral to engage 4lo. If you have auto 4wd button, just press the button in slippery conditions. If you have a denali, it is all wheel drive, and there are no buttons to push. So, depending on the model, there are multiple ways, but pushing the button engages it. Good luck...Goop

Fans will not come on

Try replacing the fan relay under the hood in the black plastic box near the firewall. Remove the cover by releasing the clips and there should be a diagram on the back side of it to help you locate the cooling fan relay(s). Pull out the correct relay with your hand and push the new one in, then try starting the engine and turn the air conditioning on high. One of the fans should turn on with the compressor but if it dos not engage, let the engine warm up and monitor the temperature gauge while you listen for the fan(s) to engage.

I have a 1992 mercedes 200 E WDB 021 Saloon, it has 8 button air condition and I dont know how to use it. Control wheel on blue position but When I push the button (leftmost)which has a glass figure on it,...

The pulley on the air condition has to turn it has a belt on it. The Compressor engages to pre cool the evaporator. Most likely you have a blend door pod leak or leak in the hose or the sampler valve is bad. I would replace the sampling valve behind the glove box/air bag. As that reads the cabin temp and if it thinks the car is cold the heat will stay on because everything is automatic. All vents will blow cold when it thinks its hot and in addition to floor and corner dash center vents will blow cold when it works. If the direction of air is correct then the A/C system may have a leak or need a charge of freon.

Clutch won't engage on air conditioning compressor

The air gap may be too wide between the clutch disc and plate. It usually happens from wear. You can test this possibility by engaging the clutch electrically as you have done and then push on the disc slightly with the handle of a hammer or screwdriver. Be careful not to get your hand or fingers too close while the engine is running. Basically you are helping the magnetic field pull the disc in. I hope this helps.

1995 Chrysler Condorde air conditioning problem

it can be a relay prob or it might be that the a/c coolant, the R-134a (this is what they replaced freon with), may be low and that you may have to just top it off because the pressure switch within your a/c system may not be engaging because of that.
