The battery light on your dashboard is an indication for a possible bad alternator. It is very easy to check the alternor, it can be done with a voltmeter. 1st using the volt meter read the actual voltage of your battery with the car off then turn on the car but make sure your radio and AC are off and again read voltage using volt meter then turn your high beam lights and your AC blower to the highest level once more read the voltage. You battery voltage with the car running and the rpms at 1500 it should be anywhere between 13.3 to 14.5 volts. If it is reading lower then 13 volts most likely you have a bad alternator. It is recommend that the above testing be done with with a fully charged battery. If the battery has a bad cell I can give you incorrect reading when reading the voltage.

Battery light on is most likely the alternator has stopped working. I would have it checked to verify that it is bad, most of the time it is the internal regulator that goes bad. Replacement is the normal fix.

The battery voltage needs to be checked.Also if battery is very old and not replaced for very long, then just get the battery replaced.Approx battery life is 3 years.If its very old battery then try new battery. But if battery is new and still battery light is on,. then either battery terminals are dirty or not connected properly or the battery voltage is low.Get the battery re charged to proper voltage.The exact battery voltage of charged battery is 12 volts..Re check and confirm with voltmeter. As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you have the battery charged. It can be an indication of a weak battery or a faulty alternator. If the battery light still on after charging then the problem will surely be on the alternator itself. If that's the case the alternator should be replaced to resolve the problem.

Battery light is (more accurately) also named charging light or generator light.
One side of the light is connected to the battery via the ignition switch and the other is connected to the alternator. When the ignition is switched on, one side of the light is at battery voltage and the other side at 0 volts and so the light illuminates but when the engine starts and the alternator produces a full output both sides of the light is at the same voltage and so no current flows and the light is extinguished.

Assuming there are no wiring or connection problems your alternator isn't producing a charge. Perhaps you didn't need a new battery...

Reset battery light

The battery light is on to warn the driver that the alternator is not charging the battery. If the light is still on you need to check the output of the alternator. It may still not be charging the battery.

Battery light

On this issue i suggest you to get the battery and its connections checked.
Either battery is got weak or the problem is related to loose battery connections.Some times battery connectors gets dirty and cause no connection issue.So disconnect battery terminals,clean them and reconnect and check ,if that is helping.
Also if the battery is got very old,then try with new battery.

Battery lights only come on if the alternator is faulty usually not to say the batterys duff i would get the alternator checked as well as the battery

Break light is no joke have the brake system checked for internal and external leaks . If none are found then itspossibly the brake hand / foot switch.

Battery lite could be incorrect battery or alternator is defective or the wiring behind alternator is corroded and lastly voltage regulator may be defective.

Engine light and battery light

No, and a new battery may not cure the battery light being on. A low or no charge condition will turn the red battery light on, a bad battery will not. A low charge condition could have turn the check engine light on. I would have it checked before I would start replacing parts.
