My 2005 Tacoma's ac light blinks and there is a sqealing sound when I run the ac. Any ideas?

Sounds like the AC compressor is out. If you are handy and want to fix it yourself, you will save anywhere from $1200-2200. The compressor is sold on an online auction site for just under $400 - far less than the $700 from the dealer. I am having the same issue and will be attempting the fix shortly. Good luck! Also, the service manual is also online showing how to do it.

sqealing usually drive belts , try spraying each belt seperately and lightly with WD 40 when squealing, whatever one stops sqealing get a new belt fitted

05 legacy sqealing sound when I'm stopped and turn

All symptoms of a loose or worn drive belt. As the belt wears, it develops slick spots that slip instead of grab. Since the main drive belt drives the power steering and alternator, this would be consistent with your issue.

2008 escalade sqeals. Had the belts changed but didn't help. Only happens when moving. Mechanic can't figure it out!

just check first that which belt sqeals, if its the AC belt then your compressor might b hard so replace it and if its the other belt then jst check your pulleys and bearings they might have gone hard.. if u can replace them its the best but if u can not then simply apply some grease on the belt which is sqealing.. thanks

check the blower motor to see if it has 12 volts when the switch is set on high blow poistion, if it does replace the switch, if it doesn't replace the blower motor
