Question about 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Air Conditioner was working great! Next day, nothing comes on........

Worked great; Then, started vehicle up next day and all was well. Except, no A/C. Just stopped. Blower motor will not come on, etc...........Checked fuses and A/C relay. Fuses were ok; changed relay and NO change. Is it a switch?

I have a similar problem. Everything seems to be working; all fuses good but compressor never kicks in.

Well, is there any reaction when you turn the A/C on and off? You could (carefully) look for freon to be flowing in the little bubble indicator off the compressor when it's running, but also look for the accessory belt to be present and in good condition (easily done with the engine off!) Then there's seeing if the controls got disconnected or failed somehow....

The problem is in the switch or possibly the motor itself. You need a competent auto electrician to troubleshoot the system. There is no hose or capacitor involved, so the guys you are taking it too do not know what they are doing.

Sounds like an electrical problem; look for loose, corroded or kinked/broken wires. The problem is most likely in the dash wiring/connections and seems to be pretty common in jeeps.

Wiring. There is a ground under the dash that they share. Easiest would be to follow brake sensor wire by pedal. That is the one that tells the release for the shifter that brake is applied to allow shifter to move. Hope this gets you going. Good luck and have a great day.

sounds like a loose power connector to the fan speed switch, or the fan itself. See local mechanic, not dealer
