Hi. Thanks for your question. For issues realted to Vw Golf Cabrio Mk 1 while starting it, you can visit https://www.reliable-store.com and download the entire workshop manual which includes all the information along with the diagrams for better understanding. Good day!
unlock with key and hold key over for 30 secs(windows may go down)then lock with key and hold over for 30 secs(windows may go up)then press remote unlock button and hold for 30 secs, you have just reset system...the closer you have to get to the car for the remote to work the lower the battery power.sensor on top of dash(little black dimple)rarely,if at all, goes wrong.....
This case sounds like the car needs to be re-trained for the key fob. Unfortunately in most cases, the dealership needs to do this. However, you may want to look at your owner's manual to double check and make sure you can't somehow do it yourself? However, I'm not certain about that. The dealership is probably where you need to have it fixed. It's a fairly quick and easy operation.
I hope this helps and let me know if I can be of further assistance! :)
there are two of those sensors, on is in the coolant overflow bottle, the other is in the coolant flang on the engine it will be a black or green sensor with a brass end
The way to find this out is simple, on the housing of the trans there is a code, a serial number, that will tell you what type of gearbox is required for this model.
Hi, I doubt it will help as mine was a 1993 Mk 3. Your 2004 model could be a Mk 4 or a Mk 5, and they will certainly be different from mine, and probably from each other. Have you checked the inside of the fuse box lid for info - it might be there...
Hope this helps, D.
