Greetings... My girlfriend owns a '95 Toyota Camary and the driver side window is not opperating. The Camary has electric windows and locks. When I press the switch for the window, I can hear the motor working and several clicking noises. She said with time the window would not roll up with as much strength, rolling up slower with time. She told me that one day her window just stopped rolling up. She said even after pulling the window up by hand, it would just fall down into the door. She said her father pulled off the door panel and placed a stick inside the door in order to keep the window from falling back down into the door. The stick is the only solution from keeping the window for falling back down. What could it be that is not allowing the window from rolling up or down?

I would expect the wiring to be already in your vehicle as the manufacturer usually used the same wiring look for every model, easiest way to do what you want would be to get a door from a breakers with electric window already installed and swap doors, have to hope the interior trim is the same colour at least hope this helps
electric windows, 101
ok its just a 12vdc electric motor.
if the motor is dead hot wired, its bad or the window is jammed.
check the window for jamming.
and the answer is there.
by hand.
well you can try "jumping" the correct wire to see if window got up or down... this will tell u if switch is bad... but I would just go but a new master switch... try that before you cause more damage..
while opperating the switch... bang on the door to shake the power window motor a bit... This should allow you a last chance to roll the window up before you have time to get the window motor replaced.
remove the door panel so that you can get to the power window motor. check that none of the wire connections have came loose from shutting the door. if the problem persist, you may need to change the window motor itself.
If the problem was with the lock you would still be able to raise or lower the window from the drivers seat, most likely the window motor has burned up,I would try pulling the door panel and tap the motor most times they will work for awhile, but ebay has the whole window regulator with motor for 99.00 I had to replace both driver and passenger in my 01 grand cherokee.was a1auto I think on ebay.
your door lock barel is most likley broken at the end causing the total closure to opperate.if you opperate the door lock barrel with the key i bet it is really stiff.new barel needed
